Are you a seasoned claims professional looking for an exciting leadership opportunity? Look no further! We're thrilled to present a fantastic opening for a dynamic individual to step into the role of Claims Team Leader. As the Team Lead, you'll lead an established team of highly skilled Claims Handlers, guiding them to success while ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Reporting to the Head of Department, your key responsibilities include:


  • Supervise and guide Claims Handlers to ensure adherence to agreed SLA’s and KPI’s.
  • Approve claims settlements within allocated financial boundaries.
  • Ensure team proficiency in policy wordings, internal guides and processes.
  • Collaborate with clients to meet specific needs, attending review meetings as needed.
  • Maintain accurate reserves and achieve a 1:1 closing ratio through diary procedure adherence.
  • Manage Solicitors in litigated cases to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Act as the main point of contact for any escalations and resolve complaints promptly.
  • Ensure timely completion of annual appraisals, monthly 1-2-1 sessions and agreed development plans.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience as a Claims Team Leader in a regulated environment, whilst it would be ideal if your experience is within Casualty Claims, we can consider those from any commercial claims background.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service, with a clear understanding of best practices.
  • Proven technical expertise and overall general insurance knowledge.
  • Ability to create a positive work environment and inspire colleagues and team members.
  • Proactive approach to learning and development for yourself and your team.

In return, you will receive a base salary to £38,500, along with a comprehensive and market leading benefits package.  This role is 35 hours per week, and will be office based Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, with free parking.  You can enjoy working in a modern office, that’s thriving with circa 250 employees.  The culture, behaviours and work ethic is second to none!  There are impressive growth plans for this office, which in turn offers genuine career opportunities.
