A role has been created for an experienced Team Leader who has experience of managing and developing successful teams.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, applying your experience and knowledge to drive profitable growth.

 

As a Team Leader you will:


  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of underwriters to achieve business targets.
  • Foster a positive and high-performing team culture with a strong focus on accountability and results.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, offering guidance and providing feedback.
  • Drive the team to Secure new business in line with the underwriting appetite and strategy.
  • Monitor and analyse operational delivery and team performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement new business strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers to maximise new business opportunities.
  • Support the team in negotiating and securing new business.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and responsiveness to broker enquiries.

As a Team Leader you will have:


  • Proven experience leading a team within a commercial underwriting or insurance environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • A results-driven mindset with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, particularly with brokers and stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of the UK insurance market.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills to drive performance improvements.
  • Ability to make recommendations to improve underwriting processes and efficiencies.

As a Team Leader you will get:
