We're recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, specialist insurance broker based in Central London, renowned for their deep sector expertise and exceptional client service. Due to ongoing success and growth, they're looking for an experienced Broker to join their team, working with clients in the Life Science and Technology sectors.

This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking and dynamic team, providing innovative insurance solutions to some of the most cutting-edge companies in the UK and internationally.

 

The Role:


  • You'll work closely with clients and Underwriters to deliver bespoke insurance programmes, with a strong focus on complex and evolving risks faced by life science and tech businesses - from biotech startups to global medtech and AI firms.
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Placing new and renewal business into the market
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with underwriters
  • Preparing and presenting market submissions
  • Supporting the design of insurance programmes tailored to niche and emerging risks
  • Keeping up to date with sector trends and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless client delivery

 

About You:


  • We're looking for a confident, detail-oriented broker with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach.
  • You'll need:
  • Previous experience in a commercial broking role (ideally in specialist or complex risks)
  • Exposure to life science, pharmaceutical, medical devices, digital health, or tech clients (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong market relationships and placement skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • A team player mindset with a client-centric approach
  • Cert CII or above preferred
