- Description
We're working with a well-established, independent insurance broker that continues to grow steadily through reputation, client referrals, and consistent service excellence. They're now looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join their friendly and professional team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, working closely with both clients and Account Executives, in a supportive, close-knit brokerage that truly values its people.
The Role:
- Support a portfolio of commercial clients across a broad range of sectors - including property, retail, trades, and professional services.
- Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business enquiries from start to finish.
- Prepare market presentations, policy documents, and renewal reports, working closely with insurers and clients.
- Act as a key point of contact for day-to-day client servicing, providing technical support and advice where needed.
- Support Account Executives with administrative and broking duties, while building strong relationships with clients directly.
What's on Offer:
- A stable, long-term position within a genuinely friendly and collaborative brokerage.
- A varied and interesting book of business with loyal, long-standing clients.
- Competitive salary based on experience (typically between £28,000 - £40,000) plus pension and holiday allowance.
- Flexibility around working hours and hybrid working options (after an initial settling-in period).
- A flat structure with direct access to management and decision-makers - no corporate red tape.
- A business that prioritises quality of service over aggressive sales targets.
What They're Looking For:
- An experienced Commercial Account Handler with a good grounding in SME and/or mid-market commercial insurance.
- Comfortable working across core commercial lines including property, liability, business interruption, and motor.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage renewals and documentation independently.
- A personable and professional approach - someone who values building relationships with both clients and team members.
- Experience within an independent broker setting is ideal, but not essential.
If you're looking for a role where you can feel genuinely part of the team, handle a variety of business, and work for a broker that's growing the right way - this is the kind of business you'll want to be part of.
