Description


We are recruiting for a leading national insurance broker who are seeking an experienced Compliance Business Partner. This is a key position within the business, working closely with senior stakeholders to provide compliance advice, ensure FCA regulatory requirements are met, and drive a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.

 

Role Overview

As a Compliance Business Partner, you will act as the first point of contact for compliance and financial crime queries, while also supporting the wider business with regulatory adherence and best practice. This is a high-profile role with the opportunity to influence compliance strategy and shape decision-making at senior level.

 

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide compliance and financial crime advice across the business.
  • Oversee Appointed Representative (AR) due diligence, onboarding and monitoring.
  • Maintain and update compliance policies in line with FCA regulations.
  • Deliver staff training on compliance, financial crime and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor compliance KPIs and escalate risks where appropriate.
  • Support embedding of SMCR, ICOBS and other key regulatory frameworks.

 

Skills & Experience Required


  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulations (ICOBS, SMCR) and UK insurance broking.
  • Experience in compliance, regulatory oversight or financial crime within insurance.
  • Experience with Appointed Representatives (ARs) desirable.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (CII, ICA or equivalent) advantageous.
  • Lloyd’s Market knowledge beneficial but not essential.
