We are working with a leading national insurance broker who are seeking an ambitious New Business Account Handler to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong broking experience who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing role focused on winning and placing new business.

 

Role Overview

As a New Business Account Handler, you will play a key role in supporting Account Executives and developing new client relationships. You will be responsible for preparing quotations, negotiating with insurers, and ensuring new clients receive a first-class onboarding experience. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commercial mindset.

 

Key Responsibilities


  • Handle new business enquiries across a wide range of commercial insurance products.
  • Prepare quotations and submissions, negotiating competitive terms with insurers.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to support prospecting and conversion of new clients.
  • Deliver a professional and efficient service to prospective clients.
  • Ensure all files, documentation, and processes are compliant with FCA regulations.
  • Build strong relationships with insurers and underwriters to secure the best outcomes.

 

Skills & Experience Required


  • Experience as an Account Handler / Commercial Broker with a focus on new business.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and placement processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Cert CII or working towards (desirable).
  • Driven, proactive, and client-focused mindset.
