- Description
Take the next step in your commercial insurance career, moving into larger, more complex corporate accounts and developing the skills to become an established Corporate Account Manager.
This Junior Account Manager opportunity is with a leading insurance broker in Birmingham, working with corporate clients generating between £30,000 and £250,000 in annual brokerage income. You'll spend three days a week in the Birmingham office, giving you regular contact with experienced colleagues as you develop your knowledge of larger commercial risks.
The opportunity
- Progress from handling SME and mid-market commercial clients into larger corporate business, gaining exposure to more complex insurance programmes and client requirements.
- Work with corporate accounts generating between £30,000 and £250,000 in annual income, developing your understanding of how these relationships are managed.
- Build relationships with clients, insurers and internal colleagues, becoming increasingly involved in the servicing and management of corporate accounts.
- Develop your technical and commercial knowledge, including how larger insurance programmes are structured, negotiated and renewed.
- Establish yourself in corporate broking with the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as your experience develops.
Who would suit it?
- You'll have around two years' experience in commercial insurance broking, ideally in an Account Handler, Account Executive or junior client management role.
- Experience working with commercial insurance clients is essential, but you don't need to have managed corporate accounts already.
- You'll have a good understanding of commercial insurance products and enjoy building relationships with clients and insurers.
- You'll be ambitious to move beyond smaller commercial accounts and develop your career in the corporate insurance market.
- You'll be comfortable spending three days a week in the Birmingham office.
The package
- £35,000 basic salary.
- Hybrid working, with three days per week in the Birmingham office.
This is an opportunity to build on your existing commercial insurance experience and make a genuine progression into corporate broking without needing to have already worked at that level.
