A role has been created for an experienced Underwriter who has experience within Product Development, Portfolio Management, Governance or Training.

As a Senior Technical Underwriter you will:

• Play a critical role in supporting the continued success and growth of the business.
• Act as a trusted referral point by coaching and empowering less experienced team members through expert guidance, training and support in risk selection, pricing and technical matters to support ongoing development.
• Work effectively as part of a team that lead the way with underwriting control and capabilities, ensuring the highest standards of technical underwriting, risk assessment, and Product Governance are in place across the business.
• Contribute to and help shape the strategic underwriting direction, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyse scheme performance, identify trends and support the development of products to meet performance targets and evolving market and customer needs.

As a Senior Technical Underwriter you will have:

• Extensive underwriting experience in an MGA, Insurer or Lloyd's syndicate with a strong commercial trading approach.
• Experience of analysing management information and portfolio performance to identify opportunities for improvement and scheme optimisation.
• Confidence to make decisions with the ability to make informed recommendations that enhance underwriting performance and drive portfolio profitability.
• Expert knowledge of underwriting principles and practice with strong risk evaluation and technical skills.

As a Senior Technical Underwriter you will get:

• Salary circa £55,000 based on knowledge and experience.
