Technology Underwriter

We are delighted to be working with a specialist global insurer who are a market leader in innovation and service.

After significant profitable growth in recent years they are looking to bolster their Technology Practice in the North West or Midlands region with an experienced Underwriter to focus on a broad range of exciting new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Working in partnership with key broking partners to jointly identify and convert new business opportunities utilising the breadth of the company proposition.
• Trading on large or complex risks to deliver market leading propositions and innovative cover solutions to customers.
• Managing and developing a small panel of key intermediaries to clearly communicate company appetite and work closely to mutual benefit.
• Working in partnership with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service to customers utilising Risk Control, Distribution, Claims and Senior Management.
• Supporting and developing less experienced colleagues to improve their technical and trading capability.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Strong knowledge of underwriting and insurance industry theories and practices.
• Demonstrated high level of technical expertise and product specific knowledge.
• Strong ability to identify, analyse and solve problems as well as to learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, manage and prioritise multiple concurrent projects.
• Skilled in exercising independent judgment and making critical business decisions effectively.

The Reward

• Salary circa £65,000.
