Description

SENIOR COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT HANDLER

Salary: Up to £45,000 dependent on skills and experience (plus discretionary bonus scheme)

Office based in City Centre Birmingham, but hybrid working available

Your role:

Stride are proudly representing a UK-wide Commercial insurance broker who are seeking experience and technical prowess to help manage their growing portfolio of specialist and complex clients.       A book of clients will be handed to you, and the level of complexity with the portfolio will initially match your ability and look to push you into other areas to expand your knowledge.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing and handling client accounts paying anything from £10k through to several £000's of GWP.    This role is geared towards handling the larger and more complex accounts
  • Working closely with the Account Executive to ensure delivery of quality service, providing renewal reports and new business presentations to allow for the best opportunities to win and retain business.
  • There is no expectation for Face to Face client meetings, but for the right individual this can be encouraged.
  • There will be a technical bias towards Casualty and Construction risks, but a wide commercial insurance knowledge is sought.

We're looking for:

  • Strong experience as a Commercial / Corporate Account Handler, and able to evidence working knowledge of complex accounts
  • An individual who can fluently explain insurance programs to clients, or able to clearly communicate, explain and answer technical queries from clients.
  • An individual who is able to respond to tight deadlines on occasions as required.  Some clients have last-minute demands to assist them towards the success of projects and contract wins.
  • An individual who is excited to learn and push their own boundaries of technical ability.
