- Description
This Catastrophic Injury Team Leader opportunity offers the chance to step into a genuinely influential role within a fast-growing, well-backed insurance and legal provider. You'll lead a specialist team handling complex, high-value claims while shaping how the function develops over the next few years. It's a business investing heavily in its insurance offering and needs someone credible to help drive that forward.
This isn't a role about maintaining the status quo. As a Catastrophic Injury Team Leader, you'll take a good team and make it better. More efficient. More commercially aware. More respected across the wider insurance function.
You'll be trusted to run your area properly. Not micromanaged. Not buried in process.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading and developing a team handling catastrophic injury claims within the insurance space
- Taking ownership of performance, quality and technical output
- Acting as a senior referral point on complex, high-value cases
- Driving improvements across process, indemnity spend and customer outcomes
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across legal and insurance functions
- Playing a key role in shaping the future direction of the catastrophic injury offering
What they're looking for:
- Strong background in catastrophic injury claims within insurance or legal services
- Proven experience managing or mentoring teams
- Commercial awareness. You understand the financial impact of decisions
- Credibility with senior stakeholders. You can influence without noise
- A steady, measured approach. This isn't a volume environment
- Someone who wants progression, not just stability
What's on offer:
- £70,000 - £90,000 salary depending on experience
- Clear progression beyond Team Leader level
- A growing business where insurance is a strategic priority
- Supportive but commercially focused leadership
- The chance to shape rather than inherit
Culturally, this is a business that rewards consistency and judgement. It will suit someone from an insurance background who has stayed, developed, and delivered over time rather than moved frequently. People tend to build proper careers here within insurance, particularly those who value long-term progression over short-term moves.
