Joining the commercial team of this international insurer as Development Underwriter, you'll work with a small panel of key broker accounts in within the home counties with a remit to profitably grow the account.

The panel includes large independent firms, as well as consolidators and globals, the thing they have in common is a £7-figure general commercial book that you'll be tasked with nurturing and developing.

As A Development underwriter, you will:

• Develop a small panel of key insurance broker accounts, building strong relationships that allow you to identify and execute new business opportunities, deals, roll-overs and schemes - you'll be well equipped with underwriting appetite and authority.
• Specialise in general insurance business, providing real expertise and (with the support of a growing team) gold standard service.
• Enjoy getting in front of your brokers, this is an external (home based) role with the autonomy and authority to get deals done.
• Take on a role that is key to growth of this team, contributing to ambitious plans.
• Be well rewarded with a negotiable base salary of up to c£60,000 (flexible) as well as bonus and package.

You - Development Underwriter:

• Able to mix sound underwriting discipline with commerciality, you'll be a new business focused Trading or Development Underwriter looking to move your career forward in this role.
• May already specialise in commercial insurance, or have a good grounding and be looking to move into something more niche.
• A self-starter, who will thrive in this autonomous role with the scope to make your own mark.
