We are recruiting for one of the largest insurers in the UK Regional market.  Large yet nimble, with a tight team based in City Centre Birmingham

The business has grown substantially over the last few years, and are now recruiting for an experienced underwriter to manage a portfolio of P&C Commercial accounts.

The business works with a narrow distribution of brokers across the Midlands, and it would be most important that you are of a mind to ensure the broker relationships remain robust when managing the renewal process.

You will have BDMs to work alongside, but you might fancy making the odd broker visit to cement that face to face relationship too.  Work with the BDMs on this.

If you have experience of underwriting accounts paying from £5k through to 6-figure GWP, then this could be the perfect environment to build the next stage of your career

You

• Strong experience in UK Commercial underwriting (Property AND Casualty, Combined), being able to evidence a number of years of underwriting accounts paying a minimum of £5k, through to 6-figure accounts
• Provide evidence of the maintenance of broker relationships through the managing of a renewal portfolio.
• A team player in a small and nimble team, or the desire to work within one
• Commit to 3 days in the Birmingham central office to be part of that team
