With full responsibility for performance of the specialist corporate property book at this major insurance business, this is a high profile role, and one that allows a Senior Property Underwriter to progress.
You'll join a well renowned firm, respected and acknowledged as a market leader, and one who's financial results allow a for a strong trading platform and a healthy environment for career progression.
As Senior Property Underwriter, you will:
- Take responsibility for performance and growth of the corporate property book - but its not all about the numbers; as well as writing complex new and renewal property cases (£100k to £multi-million) you'll play a part in ensuring the products and team are 'best in class'.
- Act as lead from a technical perspective - referral point and senior sign off, as well as auditing, monitoring and reporting; taking a data driven approach to ensuring profitability.
- Be the face of the team both externally with brokers, and with internal and head office stakeholders; able to communicate the proposition.
- Work alongside management on all aspects of strategy including distribution, L&D, structure, resource planning, compliance and areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with regional and head office colleagues, with real input to product pricing and strategy.
- This is a national role, with some travel and remote working. Your usual place of work will be Birmingham, for up to 50% of the working week.
